Vishwakalyan Sadhanayatan (Shri Yantra Mandir)

Vishwakalyan Sadhanayatan (Shri Yantra Mandir)
We welcome to Vishvakalyan Sadhanayatan (Shri Yantra Mandir) located on the banks of Mother Ganga. We offer a haven for devotees and seekers of all faiths and nationalities. If you’re interested in peace, spiritual practice, seva or pilgrimage, you’ll find yourself at home in our humble ashram. Come join us as we individually and together strive to live life from the heart and in devotion to the Absolute.
Ashram:
Vishvakalyan Sadhanayatan (Shri Yantra Mandir) was founded in 1991 by Nirvana Pithadhishwar Acharya Mahamandleshwar Swami Shri Vishwadevanand ji. Accommodation is available for those who come for spiritual practice, meditation, selfless service, holy pilgrimage and to quench their thirst to know their true Self. Guests are welcome to participate, as they wish, in the various cultural, educational and spiritual activities of the ashram. Rooms are simple and comfortable with modern attached bath and hot water. Being an ashram, the service we provide is basic but hearty and warm. We will do our best to serve you as an honored guest in our humble ashram home. We do not have any charges for rooms or food but we do accept donations according to your means to allow us to continue the work we are doing.
VEGETARIAN MEALS
We provide nutritious sattvic meals prepared in accordance with Ayurvedic principles. We buy produce from the local market and choose organic vegetables whenever possible. We search throughout India to find the best organic rice, grain and pulses. We also serve traditional wild crafted vegetables and delicacies whenever available. The milk is fresh and pure daily from our own cows. Food is prepared using traditional methods such as sun drying and burying in the earth and we have a traditional tandoor. For sacred occasions, such as Shivratri (celebration for Lord Shiva), Navratri (celebration of Durga Mata), and Janamashtami (birthday of Lord Krishna), we make special, delicious and unusual foods following traditional guidelines. We will also help if you choose to do an Indian style fast. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and afternoon tea.
TEMPLE and GHAT
There is a well-known Shri Yantra Mandir in this Ashram. The ashram has other Temples also around the Shree Yantra Mandir on the banks of the holy river Ganga where daily morning prayers are performed followed by Yagna, the fire ritual. We also do an evening Aarti. Special Pujas, such as Rudrabhishek and Ganga Puja, are conducted from time to time. The Temple houses a Shiva lingam, along with altars to Ganesha, Parvati, Lord Narayan with Laxmi, Surya Narayan (the Sun God), and Hanuman. The ashram celebrates all Hindu festivals as well as spiritual holidays of other faiths. Additionally there are often spontaneous kirtan evenings. Guests are welcome to participate as they wish. Additionally if you want to perform any special Puja, Havan or any of the Sacraments (Sanskaras) for yourself, your family or your ancestors we can organize it for you.
There is also a private bathing Ghat available. Clothing is mandatory and we can explain anything you need to know in order to get the maximum benefit of a snan (dip in the Ganga).
YOGA-MEDITATION HALL and LIBRARY
We have a spacious yoga-meditation hall and yoga classes, based on Patanjali’s teachings, are available upon request. We also provide meditation instruction and guidance if you’re interested. The ashram has its own library that contains ancient and modern books on various topics including the Vedas, spirituality and yoga. Visitors are welcome to browse through the books during their stay.
DONATIONS
The ashram is dependent entirely upon donations. By the grace of God, the ashram has been running for 20 years based on the generosity of donors and devotees. If you are interested in supporting any of our charitable activities, please contact the ashram for more details.
